History:
The Main Street & Area BID was incorporated in July 2008 after a group of local businesses banded together and decided they wanted representation and a community network to improve the aesthetics and popularity of the area. A plebiscite was held, and the BID was passed.
In March of 2009, the Main Street Business Improvement Association became a full-time operation. Bill Mills became Executive Director and the Association’s only year-round staff member. Since then, with the help of a Board of Directors, local politicians and summer students, the Association’s impact on the BID is becoming increasingly prominent and fruitful.
